Call me a Cab
Just wanted to let you know that I opened up a bottle of Call Me a Cab the other night...one we bought when we visited you last summer. You say it goes well with tavern and Mexican food. Try it with Chinese food! It was excellent. With a nice opaque color which intensified over the course of time, the aroma struck me as a combination of sweet dark bing cherry, with essence of strawberry right behind it. It has a rather big mouth feel, with upfront fruit, giving a good coating on the mid-palate. What was a welcome surprise, was the depth and layering I notice a few seconds later, with the Pinot on the back end with notes of earthy minerality...subtle but definitely prominent. You can taste the terroir. It stood up well to the food, and was still vibrant the next day. Great juice...well integrated...great bang for the buck.

My husband and I recently travelled to New York with two other couples for the Seneca Lake Winery Association's "Deck the Halls" tour during the weekend of December 2-3, 2006. We were told that Miles Wine Cellars was not on our list of "participating wineries" but we could stop and visit if we chose to do so. We are so glad that we did! I want to thank you all for making us feel so welcome! I did a tasting and the gentleman who was at the bar was so nice and very helpful to me. I came into the weekend with very little knowledge of wines, and I SO appreciated the extra time he took to talk with me about the samples I was tasting. What a fabulous experience! I purchased several bottles of Wisteria to take home and we actually enjoyed one of the bottles on Christmas Eve. It was a hit!

Thank you so much for opening up your beautiful winery to us and welcoming us for a visit. I enjoyed our stop in your winery the MOST out of all 29 that we toured during our weekend in New York and look forward to visiting again this year!
